Thanks a Million...King campaign first to reach $1,000,000

Dear Friends,
Thanks a million! I want you all to know how thankful I am for your support and for standing by my side. Your loyalty and dedication continues to mean a lot to me and my family.
I knew the fourth quarter was an important time to build a grassroots organization and to hold public meetings across the community listening to people’s concerns. The other campaigns were solely concerned about fundraising, but ours is the only campaign that had an aggressive tour throughout the community where the public could share their ideas. We’ve been the only campaign that has been talking about issues that are important to this community and offering specific plans to address those issues. As this quarter ends I wanted to personally let you know that without even making a fundraising attempt more contributors stepped up taking our total amount raised to over $240,000.
I am fully committed to this race. To show the community how serious I am I have made the decision to contribute $760,000 to our campaign. With your strong support, we are now the first campaign to reach 1 million dollars! Now that we have a strong, viable campaign, have just announced eight more Ready to Listen tour stops this month and have the financial resources to get our message to our voters, I am confident in our victory. I wanted you to be the first to know that we are committed to winning this race. So, thanks a million!
