“Democrat Jim King has always been a friend of organized labor in Louisville. The Machinists, Local 681 are proud to stand with him in the race for Mayor of Louisville, and believe our city will flourish under his leadership,” said George Boyd, Retiree for the Machinists, Local 681. “We understand that Jim King has the right experience to lead from day one on difficult issues that face our community.”

Councilman King has had a 100% pro-labor record as Metro Councilman, standing with working families on issues like a living wage, fair labor standards and supporting apprenticeship programs. “I want to thank the Machinists for their strong endorsement of my campaign for Mayor of Louisville. It is greatly appreciated and shows again my commitment of standing up for working families in our community. As our campaign forges ahead, I am confident that more and more working families will join us,” said Councilman Jim King.
