(LOUISVILLE , Ky.) –Today, the Indiana/Kentucky Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights proudly endorsed Jim King for Metro Louisville Mayor. Representing over 16,500 hard working members, today’s endorsement is a strong show of support for Jim King and his leadership on standing up for working families.

“I’m proud of this endorsement and I am humbled by the show of support from the hard working men and women of the Carpenters and Millwrights Union.  As Louisville’s next Mayor, I will always stand beside organized labor and those hard working people who need a voice at City Hall,” says Councilman King.

As former two-time Democratic Caucus Chairman and former President of the Metro Council, Councilman King has had a strong labor record.  He has had a 100% pro-labor record standing with working families on issues like a living wage, fair labor standards and supporting apprenticeship programs.

“This endorsement today shows the strong momentum that our campaign is now gaining,” says Jonathan Hurst, Campaign Manager for King’s Mayoral Campaign. “Councilman King has a proven record of leadership for working families and organized labor on the Metro Council.”
